Description
Melacare Forte Cream is a corticosteroid cream which is applied to skin for dark spots, skin discoloration etc. Melacare Forte Cream which is comprise of Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, and Mometasone as a crucial component.
Hydroquinone has a reversible depigmentation effect on the skin. The accumulation of Melanin, the skin pigment which causes skin darkening, is reduced by its bleaching effect. The synthesis of Melanin along with some important processes which result in the formation of Melanin inside the cells get inhibited by Hydroquinone.
Mometasone Furoate is a glucocorticosteroid (type of corticosteroid) used topically to reduce inflammation and allergies of the skin or in the airways, by inhibiting the formation of substances which cause them. It circulate easily in the blood, crossing cellular membranes and binding with cytoplasmic receptors. This results in the transcription and synthesis of protein. It interferes with adhesion of lekocytes to capillary walls, the reduction of the permeability of the capillary membranes and consequently edema.It also liberates hydrolace acids of leukocytes and this results in decreased inflammation.
Tretinoin belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids (retinoic acid). It is a form of Vitamin A that helps skin renew itself. It is commonly used topically to treat acne vulgaris. Its main function is to dampen the rate of growth of ill blood cells.
Patients using Melacare Forte Cream may encounter unwanted side effects such as: burning, depressed, depigmentation, exogenous ochronosis, hyper or hypopigmentation, skin pain.
